Hong Kong International Jewelry Manufacturers’ Show held from 29 Nov to 2 Dec 2012 concludes on a high note. The Show is well received and garners exhibitors from China, Japan, Israel, Thailand, India, Singapore, Belgium and Korea, in addition to local exhibitors, making up a total of 872 booths. During the 4 days’ show, the number of visitors surges 15% compared with the year before, the number of mainland buyers even boosts 30%, marking a new record in recent years.

Every year, our November Show is the last merchandising chance for South East Asia and Mainland buyers before Christmas and New Year. As most of the exhibitors are jewelry manufacturers and major jewelry brands’ suppliers, they will sell their products in special price or deliberately display unique designs to attract buyers and promote their new releases. The Show is classified into zones such as gem, pearl, diamond, fine jewelry and watch & clock. This year, Thailand Pavilion is added to the Show to showcase a large quantity of rubies, sapphires and emeralds to meet the increasing demand.

Opening Ceremony
Mr. Yang Yi, Deputy Director-General of EAD, Head of Commercial Office (Director-General Level), Commercial Office of Economic Affairs Department, Liaison Office of The Central People’s Government in HKSAR, Mr. Stanley Lau, Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Mr. Irons Sze, President of Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, Legislative Councilors Mr. Lam Tai Fai and Mr. Wong Ting Kwong, together with our Chairman Mr. Ricky Lam, Associate Chairmen Mr. Adam Lau, Mr. Benny Do and Ms Bronia Yip, Principal Consultant Mr. Sunny Chan, accompanied by Ms Payal Shah, first runner-up of Miss Jewelry Hong Kong 2011 and Miss Liz Ma, second runner-up of Miss Jewelry Hong Kong 2011 to host the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The First Jewelry Summit in Hong Kong
Supported by CreateHK, a 2-day summit “World Jewellery Industry Development Summit – Hong Kong 2012” was held. It consolidates international jewelry experts including the youngest and the only international well-known jewelry artist who holds solo exhibition at Louvre, Anna Hu, Gouten Consulting Limited CEO Francis Gouten, Christie’s Asia President François Curiel to exchange ideas with local and overseas jewelry industry players over “branding and innovation”.

China VIP Delegation : A Gateway to Mainland Business
30 chainstore and retailer representatives from Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu including Mr Songhe Sun, Chairman of MCLON Jewellery Company Limited are invited to the Show. This activity is an unprecedented trading platform for exhibitors to communicate with experienced Mainland counterparts for business cooperation.

A Showcase of International Designs
Designers from Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and China bring their exquisite designs to demonstrate their magnificent craftsmanship in the International Designer Arena which is specially made for idea exchange between overseas and Hong Kong designers.
