VICENZAORO DUBAI
The New Super Show dedicated to Gold Jewellery



The world gold jewellery sector will be enriched by a new Super Show. VICENZAORO Dubai – to take place from 23rd to 26th April 2015 – the international Show resulting from a joint venture between Fiera di Vicenza (FdV) and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), led to the constitution of the new company DV Global Link, with headquarters in the Emirates city.

VICENZAORO Dubai, jointly organized by Fiera di Vicenza and the Dubai World Trade Centre, is a new concept in the gold jewellery sector in a region easy-to-reach by 2/3 of the world's citizens with just a 6-hour flight. In order to expand the institutional network and bring together high-profile expertise, VICENZAORO Dubai will have Dubai Multi Commodity Centre (DMCC), Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) and L’Azurde as strategic partners. Thanks to the expertise and know-how of Fiera di Vicenza, the organizer of VICENZAORO held in Vicenza, Palladio’s city – one of the most important fairs in the world of the jewellery sector – and with the prestigious collaboration with DWTC and the other strategic partners, the event will consolidate Dubai as the unquestioned world capital of jewellery.

VICENZAORO Dubai will become the point of reference for the entire Arabicspeaking area, the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Central South East Asia with the most important international appointment of the spring fairs worldwide.

The new Super Show will present an innovative Exhibition Format by selecting key players of the jewellery production subdivided into four highly identifiable communities, which perfectly match with the market positioning and the product range needs of specific buyers’ profile: Global Brands & About J, Fine Jewellery & National Pavilions, Gemstone and Diamonds, Packaging and Supply. Visitors and buyers from Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Bangkok, Hong Kong and many others countries will attend the first B2B Event of the Gulf Area and meet the best companies inside those four communities. Global Brands & About J includes the leading innovators and the benchmark companies of the Gold and Jewellery Industry. The community is dedicated to high-end Jewellery, timeless collections realized with refined precious metals and stones. Inside the Area, a special location is reserved to About J, the exclusive by invitation-only Event gathering together Jewellery key players and influencers.

Fine Jewellery & National Pavilions presents companies and artisans coming from the world’s major districts of the Jewellery Industry, which create high - quality customizable creations. Realized through the mix of gold, silver, gems and a wide-range of innovative materials, the exhibition offer is characterized by unbranded Jewellery collections valued for their endless variety and creativity. Gemstones and Diamonds counts on the most qualified companies and distributors, high - skilled in processing and trading certified stones.

The universe of gems, showing a wide range of precious and semi - precious stones characterized by different cuts, forms and colours: perfect elements to enrich different kind of Jewellery collections. Packaging and Supply has two kind of protagonists: the former includes companies, studios and professionals expert in packaging and visual merchandising for gold and jewellery; the latter, companies specialized in high-tech machineries and tools that develop new solutions and scenarios for the Jewellery production.

The announcement of the joint venture between Fiera di Vicenza and the Dubai World Trade Centre was made last May at VICENZAORO, while VICENZAORO Dubai was officially presented in Dubai on 9th November, on the occasion of the Middle East Gems & Jewellery 2014 Forum. The agreement is a success that was very much desired by the President of Fiera di Vicenza, Mr. Matteo Marzotto, by the Vice- Chairman of DV Global Link and Managing Director of Fiera di Vicenza, Mr. Corrado Facco, and by the entire Board of Directors, the actors behind the global expansion plan which is increasingly taking the company, an authoritative and recognized leader in the world of high quality jewellery, onto the strategic global luxury markets, from the United States to Brazil, from China to India and the United Arab Emirates.

VICENZAORO Dubai is a valuable project, not only from an economic point of view and not only as far as fairs are concerned, but, above all, from the point of view of the cultural and institutional links, which are creating considerable interest among operators worldwide in the sector, also by virtue of the important partnerships formed with the Dubai Multi Commodity Centre, Dubai City of Gold and L’Azurde. In addition, presence in the United Arab Emirates is an extraordinary occasion to exploit the concept of Italian lifestyle in the world capital of luxury, and will significantly strengthen our role as organisers of global events.

The agreement between Fiera di Vicenza and DWTC takes place in a macroeconomic context that sees, on one hand, Italy as one of the most important manufacturing districts of luxury in the world, the recognized homeland on an international level of the Beauty and Well Done, and on the other hand, the United Arab Emirates as a country of high potential, which over the years has increased its demand for made in Italy luxury.

A significant fact: in 2013 the United Arab Emirates became the most important market for Italian jewellery exports (with a market share of 20.7% and an increase with respect to 2012 of 30%), on a scene that saw entire Italian exports for the sector grow on a global level both in value (+ 7,8%) and in quantity (+ 2,8%) with respect to the previous year.

The two countries find in Vicenza and Dubai the respective protagonists of the meeting of supply and demand of the manufactures of luxury. Italy is at the summit of gold jewellery production with an export capacity equal to about 6 billion euro a year. Dubai is a strategic place, the nerve centre of world luxury, in a system that thanks to recent infrastructural development is in a position to accommodate 10 million tourists a year and, according to Tourism Vision 2020, to welcome about 20 million over the next decade.

In this framework, Fiera di Vicenza and Dubai World Trade Centre represent two catalysts and business hubs on a global level, whose collaboration opens a new chapter in the distribution of jewellery worldwide. The constitution of the new company DV Global Link creates a real bridge between East and West, between Europe and the United Arab Emirates, between the brand awareness of the Vicenza company – in terms of design, innovation, manufacture and B2B – and the strategic position of DWTC, the Emirates market leader for the organization and management of fairs in many important sectors of the global economy.
